Chief People Officer, SPC Global
Robert Tanti was appointed as Chief People Officer of SPC Global in December 2020. Previously he held the roles of Chief People & Corporate Services Officer at Hydro Tasmania, Executive General Manager of Culture and Safety at Kings Transport; and General Manager of Human Resources at StarTrack. He has also worked with some of Australia’s best-known brands, including Elders, Simplot and Mars.
With more than 25 years of industry experience, he is known for his ability to solve problems that improve both staff wellbeing and commercial performance.
His role at SPC is to make people’s jobs easier, to install a workforce that understands how SPC works and to give SPC’s people the tools they need to perform at their best. Robert works to bring the human element into the workplace and to create a community with meaningful connections.
His other key objective is to continue fostering an inclusive organisation that creates equal opportunities for all its people regardless of their background.
He is a passionate foodie, cares deeply about delivering high-quality products to all Australians to create better food for the future.
Robert is driven by his passion to help people to improve their welfare and wellbeing. If he wasn’t working in people and culture he would be back in the classroom – where his career began before a student placement in Ford in their training department led him towards people and culture roles.
